Restorative Dentistry

Helping Damaged Smiles Recover

If a tooth is damaged or in pain, restoring it is one of the healthiest and most cost-effective decisions you can make. Teeth can’t heal on their own, so the problem will only get worse the longer it remains untreated. At Lake View Dental Center, our dentists are here to help relieve your discomfort and improve your long-term oral health with comprehensive restorative dentistry services. To get started, call our dental office today!

Tooth-Colored Fillings

Instead of repairing the damage caused by decay with a chunk of metal, our dentists prefer fillings made from composite resin. This material resembles a putty, and it chemically bonds with the tooth’s structure, which not only blocks the nerves from painful temperature sensitivity, but also lets us preserve more enamel. Additionally, as you may have guessed from the name, tooth-colored fillings are made to perfectly blend in with your pearly whites.

Dental Crowns

A dental crown is essentially a “cap” that recreates a tooth’s original structure before it was subjected to damage or decay. It completely covers the tooth, improving both its strength and appearance at the same time. Not only will you be able to smile confidently and eat comfortably again, but your tooth will be protected for many years to come, helping it stand the test of time.

Root Canals

Despite its unfavorable reputation, root canals are perhaps the most effective way to save a severely damaged tooth from needing to be extracted, while also relieving its pain. Because we completely numb the area before a root canal, our patients are often pleasantly surprised by how painless the procedure is! Root canals involve removing the damaged tissue inside of the tooth, replacing it with a synthetic material, and restoring the tooth with a crown to make it look and feel like new again.

Tooth Extractions

Our goal here at Lake View Dental Center is to help you preserve your natural teeth, but in some cases, the healthiest thing we can do is remove one. We tend to only recommend tooth extractions when a particular tooth is so damaged that it puts your overall dental health at risk. Rest assured that our gentle team will handle the procedure with the utmost care. Thanks to sedation dentistry and local anesthetic, you likely won’t feel anything at all during your tooth extraction.
